Insight. Inspiration. Invention.
From a tap-to-open NFC pack to a fully colour-matched range, innovation here means noticing where packaging can do its job better.
Good packaging ideas start with people, not materials. How someone carries a bag home, where they set a cup down, what they do with a box once it is empty — those small behaviours are the raw material our design team works from. Innovation here is less about novelty for its own sake and more about noticing the moment a pack could do its job better.
Smart packaging that talks back
Our most distinctive work sits at the point where print meets connectivity. By building NFC into a pack, a tap from a phone can open a product story, prove authenticity, register a warranty, or carry a customer straight to a reorder page — without printing a single extra word on the surface. For brands fighting counterfeits, or wanting a direct line to the buyer after the sale, that thin antenna does what a QR code never quite could: it feels effortless, and it keeps the design clean. We were early to take this seriously, and it is still the part of our work that gets the longest pause in a first meeting.
How an idea becomes a structure
We keep the process deliberately grounded, in three steps that feed each other.
- Research. Before anything is drawn, we study how your customers actually live and shop — where they are, how they buy, what they do with their spare time — and we look closely at your own production line. A clever pack that jams your filling machine is not clever, and we would rather learn that at the start than after the tooling.
- Creative design. Our designers shape a solution from those insights. Sometimes it is a handle that was not there before; sometimes it is a different way the product is revealed when the box opens. Small changes to that unboxing moment change how people feel about what is inside, and that feeling is what they remember.
- Packaging innovation. The result is a pack that improves the experience, builds brand value and earns a second purchase — the only measure of an idea that really counts.
Concept Plus: a coordinated range, not a pile of parts
Brands rarely need a single item; they need a family of packs that look like they belong together. Concept Plus is our turnkey answer — many different products designed in one colour story and produced as a set, shipped together. Matching a Pantone across flexo, offset, digital and UV print is harder than it sounds, because each process renders colour differently, and our production team takes on the responsibility of holding that match piece to piece. That is the whole point: when every item in the range reads as one brand, the shelf does the marketing for you, and you save the time and cost of chasing consistency across separate suppliers.
Innovation with a conscience
None of this is worth much if it leaves a worse footprint behind. New structures are tested against the same recyclability standard as everything else we make, and the recycled or recyclable materials we lean on are part of how we keep that promise — so a smarter pack does not quietly become a harder one to recycle.
Frequently Asked Questions
- What is NFC smart packaging?
- A thin NFC tag built into the pack lets a phone tap open a product story, verify authenticity, register a warranty or reach a reorder page — with no extra printing on the surface and a smoother experience than a QR code.
- What is Concept Plus?
- A turnkey service that designs and produces many different products in one coordinated colour story, matching a Pantone across flexo, offset, digital and UV print so a whole range reads as one brand.
- Are innovative packs still recyclable?
- Yes. New structures are tested against the same recyclability standard as the rest of our production, so a smarter pack does not become harder to recycle.
